Haiti - FLASH : Support system for candidates for official exams
9 days before the start of the 9th year fundamental exams (July 12, 2021) which will be followed by those at the end of secondary studies (July 26), the Ministry of National Education presented at a press conference on Thursday July 1, the support system for candidates of the PRATIC Platform available on the website of the Ministry. A set of resources are available to candidates for official exams for the 2020-2021 academic year in order to facilitate their success. The 15-minute courses on all disciplines, assessed in the 9th year fundamental and end of secondary school exams, as well as the key topics selected for the exams are among the resources made available to candidates.

In addition, courses in all subjects, for basic and secondary, are offered on PRATIC (https://pratic.menfp.gouv.ht), the platform for teaching and learning resources, set up since last year. It is enhanced with new content. Currently, it has 533 audiovisual content and nearly twenty PDF content, such as teachers guides and exercise books, said the director of the Information and Communication Technologies Unit in education. Without forgetting, in addition, the broadcasting of audio-visual courses on prime-time television channels.

In his intervention Jackson Pléteau, the Chief of Staff and member of the exams committee explained that the exam texts are developed according to the programs covered by the schools of the Republic. The quality of the texts takes into account the concepts seen and taught in the classrooms and the skills that students must master to move on to the next class. The Ministry, through the technical directions of education (Department of Basic Education and Department of Secondary Education) has identified the key themes on which the examination papers will be chosen.

Note that the essential concepts that the students must master are available in print at the Ministry and on the Ministry's website https://menfp.gouv.ht as well as on https://pratic.menfp.gouv.ht.
