Haiti - Earthquake : 67% of health infrastructure damaged (partial assessment) 27/08/2021 11:17:27
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO /WHO) is carrying out a post-earthquake assessment of health infrastructure in the 3 departments of Haiti (Grand'Anse, Nippes and South) severely affected by the major earthquake of magnitude 7, 2 on the Richter scale, August 14, 2021.
Partial assessment :
Of the 88 health infrastructure already assessed, 59 affected or 67% are affected (32 are damaged and 27 severely damaged) and are 29 intact
Grand'Anse, 15 establishments affected :
• 6 damaged
• 9 severely damaged
Nippes - 7 establishments affected :
• 5 damaged
• 2 severely damaged
South - 37 establishments affected :
• 21 damaged
• 16 severely damaged
