Fuel : 50 health centers closed

Haiti is plunged into a fuel crisis that has forced the country to suspend health services in 50 of its health centers, including 15 in Port-au-Prince, the capital. If the situation does not improve very quickly, more clinics and hospitals will have to close.

Fuel : MSF is reducing its services

Due to the fuel shortage, the NGO Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is forced to take care of only life-threatening emergencies at Tabarre hospital, the only center in the country specializing in the treatment of serious burns. "Without fuel, we will not be able to operate our hospital [...] this situation is untenable," said Dr Kanouté Dialla, head of the hospital. Lambert advocates an international armed intervention in Haiti
