Haiti - Social : Tragedy of Cap-Haitien, national funeral

Following the explosion of a tanker truck on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in Cap-Haitien https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-35489-haiti-flash-the-toll-of-the-tragedy-in-cap-haitien-strongly-increase-and-stands-at-134-victims.html which left 75 dead and 59 burned including 42 seriously, the Communal Commission in consultation with the various state actors concerned and representatives of the Civil Society, decided to organize a national funeral in memory of the victims on Sunday, December 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at the scene of the tragedy.
To do this, an "ad hoc" municipal coordination committee was created under the circumstances.
This Commission includes:
A representative of the Town Hall of Cap-Haitien
A representative of the Ministry of Culture and Communication
A representative of the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities;
A representative of the Ministry of Public Health and Population
A representative of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance
The Municipal Commission of Cap-Haitien reiterates its sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this tragedy and wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded who are currently in the various hospitals of the country.
