Ambassador Edmond visits New Orleans
On Thursday April 21, 2022, the Ambassador of Haiti in Washington Bocchit Edmond, accompanied by the Consul General of Haiti in Miami Stephane Gilles, visited the "Xavier University of Louisiana" as part of a trip to New Orleans . This visit aimed to strengthen relations with the Diaspora and explore economic and academic opportunities with the authorities of this city which has a historic relationship with Haiti. They were received by the President of this University, Dr. Reynold Verret, of Haitian origin. A round table was then organized with leaders of the Haitian diaspora and students of this establishment to inquire about opportunities for cooperation. A possible collaboration with the State University of Haiti was at the heart of the discussions.
