Haiti - Telecommunication : Voilà cooperates with the Natcom
After the hearing of Natcom company officials last Wednesday, the Senate Commission of Public Works, Transport and Communications, presided by Senator Jean William Jeanty (Nippes) has auditioned yesterday, Robin Padberg, CEO of the company Voilà who declared :

"...we have a law in force, a telecommunications law that dates from 1977, but gentlemen, this law did not provide the mobile phones, the 3G, broadband, fiber optic... Yes we talked about the Natcom, but we also talked about other operators. Every time that we introduce a new technology, a new player may enters on the market. We have no problem with the arrival of the Natcom, we welcome it on the market and we have an interconnection contract with this company for a long time [...] we began to see and test all things and now with the Natcom the things are Ok.

As an operator, we have an obligation to interconnect with other operators, for us, it's something basic, of standard and we meet our obligations.

Now, to make assumptions or judgments about other operator, it is not my role, these are questions that you must ask to Digicel..."
