Haiti - Politic : Details of the 4 agreements signed between the UEH and the MCI
Details on the recent signing of 4 specific cooperation agreements between the State University of Haiti (UEH) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-37452-icihaiti-mic-signature-of-4-cooperation-agreements-with-the-ueh.html

First agreement :
Encouragement of student entrepreneurship within the UEH. With this partnership, the UEH will be able to count on the support of the MCI in the realization of academic and para-academic activities aimed at promoting the entrepreneurial culture among students, believes the Rector Fritz Deshommes. "It would also be a question of recruiting among our graduating students and our graduates, those who have creative and business projects in order to help them take action. We also value the research projects of our students, particularly those who will present business plans or new companies. In this way, UEH graduates will contribute to the creation of jobs and added value."

Second agreement :
The creation of the Ministry of Trade and Industry Chair within the UEH. This corresponds to an eminently academic concern. According to Deshommes, in the triple mission of the university, namely the training of executives, research and service to the community, the UEH is committed to harmonizing its training programs and research projects with the needs of Public Administration, in particular those of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. In this sense, this chair will make it possible, according to Professor Deshommes, to develop training, awareness and research projects in the fields of the digital economy and technological innovation in relation to the business environment.

Third agreement :
The establishment of an internship program for graduating students of the UEH whose fields of training relate to the activities of the MCI. This agreement will partly address the problem of the introduction of UEH graduates into the labor market. Rector Deshommes sees this as an opportunity for some graduates to complete their training with professional experience in public administration. "On the basis of this document, the MCI promises to welcome each year in the central administration and in the decentralized entities students about to complete their academic course at the UEH in one of the sectors related to trade and industry."

Fourth agreement :
Funding for students in memory whose research issues are compatible with MCI's fields of activity. It is up to Rector Deshommes to specify that this specific agreement defines the conditions under which the MCI undertakes to support each year a certain number of UEH memoranda whose research issues relate to themes of interest to trade and industry. "We often complain at the UEH about the low graduation rate and among the causes, we have identified the precariousness of the means and resources available to memorandums. We hope with this initiative, not only an increase in the number of our licensees, but an improvement in terms of quality."
