Haiti - Security : Rain of reactions to the decision of an international armed intervention in Haiti
The official request of Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry, authorized by the Haitian Government to its international partners to immediately deploy a specialized armed force aimed at "[...] stopping, throughout the territory, the humanitarian crisis caused, among other things, by the insecurity resulting from the criminal actions of armed gangs and their sponsors" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37831-haiti-flash-towards-a-foreign-armed-intervention-in-haiti-to-eliminate-gangs.html has generated many negative reactions.

Among those who oppose it there are among others : those who wish to gain power without going through elections, those who take advantage of the current situation to enrich themselves, legalists who denounce the illegality of the decision, politicians, who see in this decision the opportunity to put themselves in the spotlight, of those who cry out for interference in the affairs of Haiti or those who see the culmination of a plot...

Camille Chalmers :
For Camille Chalmers, economist, university professor and director of the Haitian Advocacy Platform for Alternative Development (PAPDA) in Haiti, said Saturday, October 7, 2022 on a radio station in the capital that the Government's request is the result of "“fabricated chaos to justify the occupation [...] Everything is a strategy of preparation. There is a way to organize the chaos to push the population to the limit and demand a military occupation call-for-help-video.html". He also expressed his "indignation" at the request for military intervention, stressing that Ariel Henry "has no competence or quality" to make such a request.

George Eddy Lucien :
For historian and writer Georges Eddy Lucien, this decision is not surprising because the regime in place "continues to be subject to the dictates of the international community" which ensures its continued power, describing it as "unscrupulous" the members of the Council of Ministers who agreed to the request for military assistance.

Fritz Alphonse :
Fritz Alphonse Jean, President-elect of the Montana Accord, called it shameful that in 2022 people are calling for international military intervention in Haiti

Steven Benoit :
Steven Benoit, Premier-elect of the Montana Accord said, "Ladies and gentlemen, Ministers of the PHTK #3 regime, you have just committed a crime of high treason. Prepare to pay the consequences of this horrible crime. The violation of the law is "always" temporary adding "our dear constitution (1987), the real one, unamended) has just been trampled on again. Criminals will pay dearly for their packages."

Pierre Espérance :
Pierre Espérance General Coordinator of the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH), sees in this decision "a" betrayal "towards the Nation. For him, the objective for Prime Minister Henry and the PHTK is only "the consolidation of their power, impunity and corruption". Pierre Espérance affirms that Ariel Henry and the PHTK have themselves created this situation in the country in order to request this military intervention.

Dr. Guibert Barthélemy :
According to Dr. Guibert Barthelemy, speaking Saturday on the program "Ranmase" The ruling coalition by authorizing the landing of foreign troops on national territory, in flagrant violation of article 263-1 of the Constitution, placed Haiti " in the operational phase of a planned genocide”

Moïse Jean Charles :
Former Senator Moise Jean-Charles, leader of the radical opposition Political Party 'Piti Dessalin' suggested that the third of the Senate declare "Ariel Henry, stateless" stressing that the OAS cannot in any case ask Ariel Henry, a de facto leader, to engage the Nation without a Haitian consensus.

Haitian Transport Sector :
The Haitian Land Transport Sector (STIH) and other transport unions such as (APCH), Owners of Lower Artibonite Vehicles (SCPVBA), the National Federation of Transport and Haitian Workers (FENATRATH) "condemn the decision of the government of Prime Minister Ariel Henry to ask foreign soldiers to walk on the soil of Papa Dessalines, which we qualify as treason", "We condemn the behavior of the Government which does not appeal to wisdom to hear the voice of the Haitian people in the street, but instead asks for international help so that foreign soldiers come to help him."
