Haiti - Social : Presentation of the first compensation check for police victims on duty (Video)
On December 28, the National Police of Haiti proceeded to the delivery of a first check relating to the special risk compensation intended for the families of the police officers victims in police operations.

This approach falls within the framework of the application of the Decree published in the Monitor on July 1st, 2022, which provides for special compensation for the risk of accident and death for the benefit of the families of police officers who are victims on duty.

The wife of the deceased, beneficiary of this first check, expressed her gratitude to the National Police and welcomed the efforts made by the institution to support the families of victimized police officers, while hoping that the PNH will continue to honor its commitment.

The National Police, still saddened by the loss of its members, is nevertheless committed to the families of police officers who are victims of the issue of checks in accordance with the provisions of the decree.

Summary of the Decree of July 1st, 2022 :

"[...] In the event of injury, the agent continues to receive his salary for the duration of his temporary incapacity. However, the duration of this temporary incapacity shall not exceed twelve (12) months.
