Haiti - Politic : The Government publishes the text of the December 21 agreement without the names of the members of the HCT (official text)

The Government published in the official newspaper "Le Moniteur" special number #1 dated January 3rd, 2023, the text of the agreement entitled "National Consensus for an Inclusive Transition and Transparent Elections" as well as the signatories of this signed agreement on December 21, 2022 at the Karibe Hotel https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-38427-haiti-flash-the-pm-signed-a-historic-consensus-for-an-inclusive-transition.html

It is to be underligned that while Prime Minister Ariel Henry had promised the installation of the High Transitional Council (HCT), a week after the signing of the agreement, the HCT is still not installed. Worse in the text published in "Le Moniteur", the names of the 3 members of HTC do not appear.

Let's recall that on December 21 the 3 members of the HCT were unveiled : Calixte Fleuridor, of the Protestant Federation of Haiti, will represent civil society, Mirlande Manigat will represent political parties and Laurent Saint Cyr who will represent the private sector.

The absence of publication of the names of the members of the Council in the official journal and the delay in the installation of the HCT are they linked...? So far we don't know, but a last-minute disagreement at the HCT level is a hypothesis that we cannot exclude and which could explain this delay in publication...
