USA, New Migration Program : beware of scams

Neither the U.S.-based support nor the recipient is required to pay the U.S. government any fees to file Form I-134A, be considered for travel authorization, or parole. Beware of any potential scams or exploitation by anyone asking for money associated with participating in this process.

Consulate Montreal : New schedule

The Consulate General of Haiti in Montreal advises the public in general and the Haitian community in Quebec in particular that the opening hours of the Consulate are from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., strictly by appointment. The interval from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. is devoted to lunch for employees. It is not recommended to show up at its premises during these times. This new schedule will take effect from Monday, February 6, 2023.

Greenhouse agriculture

The pilot project of the Ministry of Agriculture concerning the promotion of greenhouse agriculture is carried out in four municipalities of the West department : Cité-Soleil, Kenscoff, Léogâne and Arcahaie. This project, whose first results are very promising, is implemented with the aim of making available the main fruits and vegetables most consumed in Haiti and further diversifying the income of farmers. Women's sport, brilliant performances

This week, as part of the International Day of Women's Sport, Raymonde Rival, the Minister of Youth and Sports applauded the commitment of all Haitian girls and women for the promotion and development of women's sport in Haiti. Minister Rival praised the brilliant performances achieved by young female athletes, particularly abroad, and invited national sports federations and associations to include more women in sports governing bodies.

NOTE to Borlette tenants

The Directorate General of the Haitian State Lottery informs the tenants of Borlette, that the closure of banks for late payment, sthe eizures of materials will suffer a penalty of 25,000.00 Gourdes (Twenty-Five Thousand). This measure is coordinated with the expenditure made by the LEH to identify violators of the regulations and to remunerate the inspection staff of the Borlettes in the ten departments of the country.
