Haiti - Toussaint Louverture Airport : The construction of the new control tower and the radar station is progressing
Construction work on the control tower at Toussaint Louverture International Airport and the radar station is progressing. The international ADP Group assists the Execution Unit of the Ministry of Public Works in coordinating the entire project aimed at improving airspace safety.

Let's remember that this project consists of the construction of a technical building of approximately 2,300 m2, and a new Control Tower 32 m high as well as the acquisition of a set of equipment contributing to the automation of the system air traffic management.

It is the international firm ADP Ingénierie which received the contract in 2020 for Project Management Assistance for the design, construction and equipment of the new control tower and the new air traffic management complex at the airport. Toussaint Louverture International Airport.

The project duration of 32 months is developed in BIM standards (LOD 300) and carried out in partnership with the Haitian firm of Génie Conseil SA (GCL).

The estimated cost of the project financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) allocated to works and equipment by ADP is 20 million US dollars.

Furthermore, it is the Dominican Higher Academy of Aeronautical Sciences (ASCA) which will provide training to the Haitian technicians who will be in charge of the operations of the new control tower (complete courses on air traffic control at the aerodrome and approach control, among others...)

Let's remember that ASCA and OFNAC) signed an agreement https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-38780-haiti-aviation-dr-will-train-haitian-technicians-on-air-traffic-control.html by which they agreed to continue to improve collaboration and technical assistance related to the coordination of the provision of air traffic and/or air navigation services between the two Nations.

The Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC), a "leader in the region" in terms of training and education through ASCA, will provide civil aviation-related assistance to Haiti, which will include training students in aviation and aviation management and air traffic control, among others.
