Haiti - FLASH : «Barbecue» announces the start of the revolution
Thursday February 29, 2024, as part of the "Viv Ansanm" (Living Together) alliance, bringing together the "G9" gang coalition led by Jimmy Cherisier alias "Barbecue" and the "G Pèp" gang coalition led by Jean Pierre Gabriel alias "Ti Gabriel", Jimmy Cerisier announced in a video the start of the "revolution".

He explained that the different gangs decided to form an alliance and specified that the objective was to capture Frantz Elbé, the Commander in Chief of the police as well as the government ministers and to prevent the return of Kenya to Haiti of Prime Minister and finally overthrow the current system, encouraging the population to take to the streets using all available means of defense.

"On behalf of the various armed groups in the country, I announce the return of the 'Viv Ansanm' coalition. Today, February 29, 2024, we launch the battle which must overthrow the Prime Minister and his government, this is our first objective."

"Today, I declare that the hunt for ministers and the Director General of the PNH, Frantz Elbé, is open. We must stop them and send them to join Ariel Henry where he is, so that he never returns to the country."

"The Haitian people must be liberated. We will do it with our weapons," affirming "All the armed groups in the country, in the provinces and in Port-au-Prince, are more united than ever."

"We, the armed men, have decided to take the future into our own hands."
