Towards the reopening of the Port of Port-au-Prince
After the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, the American army (with the PNH and the FAd'H) will endeavor to reopen the International Port of Port-au-Prince, declared Laura Richardson, head of the Southern Command of the American army. She stressed the importance of reopening the Port to facilitate the disembarkation of, among other things, food, fuel and medical supplies which will be distributed throughout the country. She also confirmed that limited U.S. personnel will assist with logistics during the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti.

President Ruto to discuss Haiti with Biden
Kenyan President William Ruto this week is making the first state visit to the United States by an African leader in 15 years. The crisis in Haiti, where Kenya has committed troops to combat gang violence, will top the agenda. Ruto will meet US President Joe Biden in Washington on Thursday (May 23) for talks that will focus largely on the UN-backed multinational mission to restore order in Haiti. PNH : A member of the "Kraze Baryè" gang killed
Lorveus Maxo Junior (35 years old), an active member of the "Kraze Baryè" gang led by Vitelhomme Innocent, was fatally injured in exchanges of fire with the Police, in the Colosso area (Tabarre 42). More than 100 candidates for the position of PM
Friday May 17 ended the reception of files for the post of Prime Minister of the Transition. More than 100 contenders have reportedly confirmed their candidacies.
