Sunday June 9, 2024, for their second match of the 2nd qualifying phase of the Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, on the Widley lawn Turf Stadium (Bridgetown, Barbados), our Grenadiers won [3-1] against the "Tridents" of Barbados (host country). A victory which allows our Grenadiers to continue with confidence and determination the 2nd part of these qualifiers where they will face Aruba on Thursday June 5, 2025 on the road, followed by the Curaçao team on Monday June 9.

Starting eleven :

To face Barbados this afternoon, coach Sébastien Migné made two changes to his starting team composition compared to Thursday's match against Saint Lucia. Danley Jean Jacques replaces Carl Fred Sainté in the midfield axis, and Deedson Louicius takes the place of Derrick Étienne on the right side.

Match summary :

In the first period Duckens Nazon inside the penalty area, serves Louicius Deedson starting for the occasion who opens the scoring in the 12th minute in favor of Haiti [1-0]. At 45'+1 Duke Lacroix scored his first goal for the selection on an assist from Danley Jean-Jacques [2-0]. Unlike Saint Lucia, the "Tridents" of Barbados did not generally worry our Grenadiers who largely dominated the game in this first period

Upon returning from the locker room our Grenadiers had difficulty converting several opportunities...

French coach Sébastien Migné made several changes during this 2nd period :

62' Bryan Labissiere came on in place of Frantzdy Pierrot, Belmar Joseph Jr replaced Leverton Pierre, and Mikael Cantave replaced Don Deedson Louicius;

78' : Fabrice Jean-Ian Picault was replaced by Carl Fred Sainté;

89' : Danley Jean Jacques was replaced by Attys Christopher.

Niall Reid-Stephen takes advantage of a ball poorly repelled by Placide, to reduce the score for Barbados in the 73' [2-1]. 10 minutes later, an angry counter triggered by Duckens Nazon, who deflected for Mikael Cantave who served Bryan who scored a 3rd goal for Haiti in the 84' [3-1]
