Haiti - FLASH : Massive fraud, conditional stay program temporarily suspended 03/08/2024 06:37:54
Internal DHS documents reveal that the department automatically accepted applications without verifying the information provided by sponsors or applicants An internal investigation by the department shows that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reviewed thousands of applications "to identify patterns, trends, and indicators of potential fraud." The internal report suggests massive fraud in the application process, specifically, fraudulent information used in thousands of Form I-134A, the documents that a sponsor files with USCIS for each alien applying for conditional stay. Let's recall that 494,000 people from the four countries flew to the United States between October 2022 and the end of June 2024 under the Biden administration’s program. The DHS internal investigation found evidence of fraud that included the use of false Social Security numbers (SSNs), including the SSNs of deceased individuals, and the use of false telephone numbers. Many applications listed the same physical address. There were approximately 100 addresses listed on more than 19,000 forms, and many conditional applicants applied from a single property (including a mobile home park, a warehouse, and a storage unit). Additionally, many applications were submitted through the same IP address. As if that were not enough, the exact same answers to the I-134A questions were provided on hundreds of applications, in some cases, the same answer was used by over 10,000 applicants. According to Fox News, 100,948 forms were completed by 3,218 sponsors... As a result, the United States is temporarily suspending the Conditional Stay Program for Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Haiti while the necessary verifications are completed.
