Haiti - Economy : Relaunch of the tourism sector, a great opportunity for Haiti, but...
According to the latest report from the World Tourism Organisation (WTO), Haiti has a great opportunity to promote tourism, as a sector generator of jobs, welfare and development for local communities, taking advantage of the process of reconstruction.

The report indicates that Haiti has natural resources, beaches and a climate comparable to the popular tourist destinations of the Caribbean in addition to a very rich culture very "singular", envied by other countries of tehe region. he UN agency believes that public institutions and the private sector must develop a tourism strategy, which takes into account the land use, the infrastructure, agricultural development, technology and training.

It is this type of tourism, that we can develop for the moment in Haiti [...]"
