The report also highlights the necessity of building a brand image for Haiti, "which currently has the lowest figures in terms of tourism in the countries of the Caribbean where there are interesting opportunities" recalling that the countries of the Caribbean, received more than 20 million tourists (2% of world total), which generated $ 24 billion of revenue (2.5% of global revenues). 64% of tourist arrivals occur mostly in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica, Bahamas and Puerto Rico, countries, which despite the crisis, maintained their tourism growth in 2010. However, in Haiti, many sectors deplore the fact that the true signs of rebuilding are always invisible. The National Palace and the ministries are still on the ground, schools, universities and churches were not rebuilt, the road network is in a deplorable situation, airports and inadequate hotel infrastructure and the insecurity remains a real obstacle.
