Haiti - FLASH : Humanitarian visa for Brazil, the IOM explains and specifies 07/11/2024 06:03:48
"The Brazilian visa appointment system is managed directly in Switzerland to facilitate the transparency of the work team in Haiti. IOM staff in Haiti are there to communicate with the technical team and inform them of the problems we have observed on the system. We do not have access to modify or add people. We confirm that there are 200 people who have made an appointment on Sunday evening, November 3, 2024, on the website that we have included in the short video that we have made to facilitate your understanding of the new system. We inform these people that these appointments ARE NOT VALID because the appointment booking officially opened on Monday, November 4th as we informed you. The technical team has therefore blocked these requests. We invite all those who have created an account to insist until they manage to choose the date of the desired appointment. We remind you that making an appointment is free. Please note that the appointment system is problematic because there are many people trying to make an appointment on the system. IOM Haiti remains in contact with the technical team to find solutions to improve this situation. But we already have confirmed appointments. Important : IOM staff in Haiti cannot negotiate appointments with people for money and do not have access to this means either. IOM Haiti is not responsible for false appointments that a person chooses to buy. We encourage everyone to make their own appointments.
