Haiti - Politic : The 50 first days of Minister Supplice (MHAVE)

The Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), Daniel Supplice presented a review of its first 50 days at the head of the institution and the prospects for the future during his tenure.
Yesterday Tuesday at a press conference, Mr. Supplice informed that in less than two months, a proposal of Organic Law of Ministry, which will be part of the government's legislative agenda, is submitted to the Prime Minister for appropriate action. Meanwhile, he indicated "we are working on restructuring the MHAVE, a proposal for draft budget of the Ministry etc..."
In addition, the Minister gave a summary of its two official visits to the United States, especially in the states of New York and Miami to honor some invitations, and to meet with Haitian communities who live there.
According to information from the Minister, the compatriots abroad renew their trust in the free education program of the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly. However, they require an explanation on the funds collected from money transfers and telephone calls to Haiti. They call the government for more transparency on this issue.
In addition, Haitians from abroad want the establishment of structures allowing them to get there, documents such: birth certificate, marriage certificate, title in case of loss.
From all this, the identification of the diaspora is the main project of the Minister. The owner of MHAVE seems determined to identify the extension of the Haitian population, scattered across the world. "The identification will be quantitative and also qualitative," he has promised.
