He reiterated his willingness to work to make education accessible to all through its program of free education and improve the education system. He also met representatives of various grassroots organizations that have expressed their wishes. The President, after having promised them to consider their demands, insisted on the principles of nonviolence and respect for state property and those of the citizen, prerequisites for a genuine dialogue. In the evening, as he had promised, the Head of State celebrates with the people of the city of Les Cayes. Thousands of citizens have received gifts from the President. Among the lucky ones, 25 have received a bike, the winner a pick-up double cabin. The President of the Republic took the opportunity to renew its pledge to work to improve the living conditions of the Haitian people. He concluded by wishing all best wishes for the holiday season.
