Haiti - Finance : «Haiti doesn't suffer from a lack of capital» (video)
In the latest episode of the series "Wi, Ayiti Kapab" (Yes, Haiti is Capable), released this week and produced by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), guest Robert Jr. Paret, CEO of the ProFin Group and founder of Haiti’s first licensed investment bank, says he has identified what most investors miss : "Haiti doesn’t suffer from a lack of capital; it suffers from capital fragmentation."

"More than 4 billion in remittances from the diaspora, significant domestic savings. But insufficient infrastructure to pool, intermediary, and deploy them productively. This isn’t a problem of resources. It’s a problem of market design."

In this episode of "Wi, Ayiti Kapab" Robert Jr. Paret explains :
• How to transform frequent remittances into patient capital;

• How to design investment vehicles that align diaspora wealth with local opportunities;

• How to reduce entrepreneurial risks through structured capital allocation;

• How to build institutional trust in frontier markets.

ProFin is a true case study in building the link between capital sources and capital users in a complex operational environment. In this episode of "Wi, Ayiti Kapab" Robert Jr. Paret doesn't just theorize; he offers concrete lessons on building markets from the ground up.
