Haiti - Politic : First success of the Haitian delegation in France 23/01/2012 11:24:57
At the meeting of last Saturday with the Union of Haitian taxi drivers, the Minister Lamothe was accompanied by Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, Mr Hervé Day. Sunday, January 22, he was invited to the prestigious Académie Diplomatique Internationale (ADI) of Paris to discuss with the community of Haitian students in France, which have expressed their grievances in the presence of Mr. Wilson Laleau, Minister of Trade and Industry, of Hervé Day, Minister of Planning and parliamentarians.  Ms. Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin the Minister of Tourism, has joined the delegation in Paris after having represented the country at the FITUR (the largest trade fair and of tourism in Europe) in the company of ministers and businessmen from 152 countries. The Minister then went to the Church St Georges of Paris, where he made one with the Catholic community. Invited to speak to the faithful, the Minister announced, under the applause, a series of actions implemented by President Michel Martelly, in the perspective of social inclusion, citing in particular, a project of financial assistance to 100,000 Haitian mothers among the poorest, the support to 30,000 families who were removed from the camps, the construction of new social villages, the direct subsidy for 903.000 children benefiting of the free education program or the decision of the Ministry to send consular officials in the homes of sick or paralyzed to offer them the services of Embassies and Consulates.  Laurent Lamothe declared that it was a priority for him to meet his compatriots of France, before starting bilateral discussions with French authorities. This Monday, January 23, the Chancellor Lamothe, accompanied by three other ministers, of a large delegation of businessmen, of Director General of the Ministry, Nixon Myrthil and of his Chief of Cabinet Ady Jean Gardy, will begig the official meetings in Paris. He must be received by Mr. Alain Juppé, the French Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, around the agenda of Haiti, in the field of diplomacy and business development. The Chancellor Lamothe, wishes to see the return to Haiti of the French companies that can help increase the economic growth in Haiti, while encouraging the Haitian community of France, to appropriate the benefits of the new policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field of the diplomacy, business and social development.
