Haiti - Resignation Conille : Mariano Fernández very concerned 25/02/2012 08:10:22
Mr. Fernandez, who salutes the contribution of the Prime Minister to the stabilization process of the country, stresses that "the resignation of Dr. Garry Conille shows, unfortunately, that the rifts have taken over the reconciliation to the detriment of the country, while the Haitian population aspires to truly begin the turn which will lead it towards reconstruction, economic growth and of strengthening of institutions of the rule of law." Calling on Haitian authorities to privilege and to maintain a harmonious climate and conducive to democratic stabilization of Haiti and to economic recovery, the Special Representative urges the authorities to designate as soon as possible a Prime Minister, to avoid new delay in the adoption of the priority elements that form the basis of political stability, ie "the adoption by Parliament of the national budget ; developing a legislative agenda consensual ; the publication of the amendments of the Constitution and the organization of local, municipal and senatorial elections of 2012, and to work together to achieve these goals in the first and only interest of the Haitian people."
