Haiti - Politic : The Government call to order the Senator Moïse
Following the irresponsible remarks of Senator Jean-Charles Moïse, concerning, among other, of accusations involving namely a Venezuelan diplomat, the Government vigorously call to order the Senator Moïse [without naming it], reminding him the limits of his rights and the consequences of his remarks.

"The Government of the Republic has learned with dismay and regret the intemperate statements made in the press by a Senator of the Republic. These remarks are regrettable likely to prejudice the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation existing between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Haiti.

The Government of the Republic recalls that the Senator in question has no right or authority to declare "persona non grata" a diplomat representing the interests of a friendly state, and that such prerogatives incumbent only to the Executive, in accordance with the laws regulating the matter.

The Government of the Republic rejects and condemns such statements, which aim undoubtedly to affect the harmonious relations Haitiano-Venezuelan whose benefits to the Haitian people are well known. He took the opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to the respect of attributions of each body of government while wishing to be able to rely on the foresight and sense of responsibility of everyone, at all levels, in building the rule of law which remains inseparable of strengthening of the democracy, which requires taking into account the laws and basic rules of civility, in parallel to the self-respect and of others in all public interventions.

The Government finally wishes to recall that the funds generate by the program PetroCaribe are budgeted, and, therefore can not in any way be used outside the norms of public accounting."

Note that HaitiLibre, in his article published June 15, 2012, had intentionally removed the name of the diplomat and certain remarks of Senator Moïse [unlike many Haitian media], aware of the irresponsibility of the statement of Senator Moïse, likely to cause a diplomatic incident with a friendly country and harm the development of our country. Remarks, who have undoubtedly caused a diplomatic reaction of Venezuela, justifying today the declaration of the Haitian Government.
