This Tuesday at the National Palace, the President Martelly, accompanied by his wife, Sophia Martelly, ended several months of controversy by announcing officially, in presence of Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, of President of both Houses, the President of the Court of Cassation and representatives of the diplomatic corps, that he decided to publish the corrected version of the amended Constitution.

The President signed a decree authorizing the publication of the Constitution "From today the instructions will be passed to the National press for the reproduction of amendments contain errors materials under the unanimous decision of the three powers," insisting on the fact that this constitutional amendment "brings many new elements essential to any democratic state," such as the creation of new institutions (Constitutional Court, the Permanent Electoral Council, Supreme Council ofof Judicial Power, the quota of women...) and finally determines the question of multiple nationality.

The Head of State concluded his announcement by launching in Creole "All Haitians are Haitians. No more debate."
