"[...] The meeting with high-level donors was very well, we defined a new mechanism for international donations for Haiti, which will now proceed by the Haitian Government. It is a structure that will be in the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation. There will be sectoral tables where there will be different donors, there will be he Haitian Government represented by the Ministry Theme (concerned), and there will be also the NGOs working on a theme that will be at the table. So we will have different tables, and each table will work on projects that will be based on the Strategic Development Plan for Haiti (PDSH). As part of this master plan, they will give their contributions and the latter will go to a Higher Committee, which has within it : the Haitian Government but also senior decision makers, for example the President of the IDB, of the World Bank, etc... The final decision will be taken by the Government of Haiti, in terms of allocation of project [...] it is a mechanism, that will pass through bodies that are already in place in the government, it is a facilitation of the process [...] IHRC no longer exists, and we will not put it back [...] it is a mechanism simple, clear and transparent. At the G7+, we asked the country to come up with turnkey projects in partnership with Haitian companies to get things done faster. The bidding process, especially when we have several tenders at the same time, it can take a lot of time.

We have seen the positive example of Caracol Park and the University of Limonade which are projects that they give us turnkey [...] what I said is that if each country gives to Haiti two turnkey projects, there were 20 countries around the table, then we will have 40 large-scale projects in Haiti. They agree on the principle [...] we will make a conference in Haiti in December, will co-sponsor will be the Qatar [...] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-6746-haiti-politic-laurent-lamothe-in-new-york-proposes-the-alignment-of-the-international-community.html

The good news also is that the World Bank has approved $245 million for Haiti and $90 million of this amount will go to the energy [...]

We signed an agreement with Qatar for $9 million to build houses on a place to be called "Qatar City" alongside the Project of Morne à Cabri, is a project of 400 additional homes, we signed it in partnership with the Clinton Foundation [...]

The international community as a whole, gives its full support to the Government of Haiti [...] They asked us to support the Permanent Electoral Council, to quickly organize the elections, for they [donors] are not blocked for political or institutional reasons [...]

In addition, the United States will sign an agreement with us Saturday, of 275 million, for different sectoral projects on which the U.S. Government working with us.

We thanked Cuba for what it does for Haiti, in the field of health [...]

Colombia has spoken of his cooperation in the police. We told him that the Haitian Government in the Development Plan 2012-2016 of the police, we have our farmers who are victims of theft of livestock. We will make an extension of the national police, so that we have at least two policemen by communal section to ensure safety. We told them also, that in the context of border security, we will put in place specialized body on the border. Colombia support us at this level and offered us the logistical support and training for the police officers and these specialized bodies.

France congratulated the Haitian Government in the fight against smuggling and tax evasion [...] they asked us to strengthen our efforts and have took the opportunity to offer us a technical support of French tax authorities in Haiti to strengthen this cooperation.

The IDB has also spoken of Caracol Industrial Park and confirmed that it has approved the second phase of the park for $ 50 million https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-6669-haiti-economy-idb-approves-$50-million-grant-for-haiti-s-caracol-industrial-park.html

Secretary Hillary Clinton congratulated us for the management of the Government and she told us that she gives us all her support [...] She told us she would like to come to Haiti on 22 October, for the inauguration of Caracol Park, she will come with many big names in the country. We work for the Cap Haitien Airport is ready for October 15, so that the aircraft of Hillary Clinton can land with all these people [...] certainly the biggest investors in the world will come with her, this is a very good news for the Department of north and the city of Cap Haitien.

President Clinton will remain co-chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council for the Economic Development and Investment, and certainly, given his network and thahis address book is very good on the international level, we will give him of missions, his role in this mission will be to meet with the community of donors who have pledged but who have not yet given the promised funds [...]

I think in all humility that we have well defended the country. I think that before so many responses received, that the message begins to pass, that they begin to take Haiti seriously now. They see that what we say, we do it in several areas, in the rule of law, social protection, the fight against inequality, security. They also know that it is not easy and there is a lot of work to do [...] the Haitian Government is very satisfied..."
