The surprising removal of Me Jean Renel Sénatus, the Government Commissioner, near the Civil Court of Port-au-Prince, has caused many reactions and speculations about the reasons that motivated the Minister of Justice, to make this revocation. Me Jean Renel Sénatus in his explanations, reveals the strange behavior of the Minister of Justice, Jean Renel Sanon.

"[...] If you ask 10 people in the street, how is named he Government Commissioner, they will tell you Jean Renel Sénatus. If you ask 10 people how is named the Minister of Justice, 5 or 6 will be wrong. This means that the results of Sénatus are visible [...] the society has seen a Commissioner Sénatus, who visit all prisons at least twice a week and has opened/cared records that have 5 to 10 years and which have never been opened. The society saw a Commissioner, who was going to provide the detention centers in Port-au-Prince, of a vocational center to enable pretrial detainees to learn a trade during their time in prison [...] so my results are visible, I do not have to return to it, the problem is that the Minister does not have other argumentation [...]

The Minister has his past and his future behind him [...] and want to tarnish the image of Jean Renel Sénatus, who has his future ahead of him [...] the Minister spoke of disrespect and insubordination... Listen, I was Government Commissioner of Port-au-Prince, I had more than 11 jurisdictions under my orders, the police in zones who worked in agreement with me [...] give me charges [...] is the same for the Judges of Peace, it gives me charges because it give me a presumption of knowledge of law, it is the same thing that must be made for the Commissioners of the Government with the Minister of Justice [...]

Since the Minister is in office, how can we understand that the Minister gave me 17 manifestly illegal orders ? 17 manifestly illegal orders, a man who was my elder, when he pleaded, I was at the Faculty of Law and he give to the Commissioner Sénatus, 17 illegal orders ! [...] A minister who told me to put a seal on a vehicle, that does not exist, a minister who asked me to break a seal to count contraband products, it is not something that can be my friends [...] I can not accept that ! A minister who asked me to stop a lawyer, named Mario Joseph in his cabinet, while the law says, in Article 56 Decree 79, the office of the lawyer is inviolable and may not be the subject of any search, unless the lawyer is indexed for committing a felony or a misdemeanor... [...] the search, it is the judge who is competent to conduct it, it is not the Government Commissioner [...] Another example, one afternoon, the Minister called me and told me : Mr. Commissioner, here is a list of 36 people on which it is necessary to [sign] a warrant (mandat d'amener) [in an illegal manner], I did not do it [...] I would not give the names [...] I expect the President to come back, I'm not going to mess behind the President [...] I will not go further, I expect his return to tell him what I have to say [...]"
