Haiti - Politic : 8 Senators remain open to dialogue
Despite the refusal of the majority of Senators to respond to the invitation to dialogue this weekend, sent by the Head of State, to the Office of the Senate Thursday, 8 out of 20 Senators finally agreed to meet on Saturday the President of the Republic.

As part of the permanent dialogue initiated with different sectors of the society, the President Michel Martelly, accompanied by Ralph Théano, the Minister for Relations with Parliament, met at Club Indigo the senators : Lucas Sainvil, John Joël Joseph, Maxime Roumer, Melius Hyppolite, Edwin Zenny, Wencesclas Lambert, Carlos Lebon et Willy Jean Baptiste.

This meeting allowed the President to explain in detail some social projects such as : "Ti Manman Cheri", "Aba Grangou" and "Kore fanmiw" whose the launch will take place soon.

He was also question of the formation of a majority bloc in the Senate, the senators promised to follow up. The high cost of living has also occupied a prominent place in the discussions. Various proposals to address it have been analyzed.

All participants at this meeting expressed their willingness to work together to enable the Government to apply its policy. The President Martelly, for his part, reiterated his determination to make every effort to fulfill his promises aimed to give to the population a better quality of life.
