Haiti - Justice : Case Brandt-Moscoso, the investigation continues...
As part of the case of the businessman Clifford Brandt, concerning the abduction of Coralie [23] and Nicolas Moscoso [24], the judicial authorities have put, Saturday late afternoon, seals on the Compagnie Haïtienne de Moteur S.A. (MAZDA), of the businessman, located in the area of ​​Delmas 2.

A request by one of the lawyers of Mr. C. Brandt, who tried to oppose to this measure, explaining that the company Mazda was a limited company and the apposition of seals was illegal, was rejected.

In addition, four homes have been sealed, 2 vehicles seized, police equipment, 13 firearms including 6 weapons, and numerous ammunition were seized.

As part of the investigation, the judicial authorities have so far arrested 9 people, 4 police officers are in isolation and many other suspects are actively sought.

Reacting to this case, the former colonel Himmler Rebu has expressed concern about the possible negative impact on the business sector particularly foreign investors, which could make an amalgam, and be reluctant to build relationships with Haitian businessmen, by fear that the latter are involved in criminal cases.
