Haiti - Politic : Michel Martelly met the President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff 18/11/2012 09:58:12 In regard to the formation of Electoral Council, the President Martelly assured Dilma Rousseff, of efforts made by the Executive, for the holding of elections, according to democratic standards. He also stressed the need for intensified cooperation in the agricultural sector, including through the support of the Brazilian Government to the Ministry of Agriculture. Brazil, which has responded positively, already considering the possibility of working jointly with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The two Heads of State also agreed on a new orientation of the Project 4C [Project of $192 million on the Artibonite River]. The President of the Republic hoped that the money for this project [funded largely by Brazil] can be used for work in the watershed, since IDB study found the cost of the project, more than what was expected.
