Haiti - Politic : A government feminine

Wednesday to the Primature, in the presence of dignitaries of state, of departmental Delegates, the President of the Lower House, the President of the Superior Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, presented the exemplifications of appointment to the members of the new Cabinet, formed after the order issued Tuesday by the Head of Government and approved by the President of the Republic.

New Ministers :

David Bazile : Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities (replaces Ronsard Saint-Cyr) ;

Charles Jean-Jacques : Minister of Social Affairs and Labour (replaces Josépha Raymond Gauthier) ;

Josette Darguste : Minister of Culture (replaces Jean Mario Dupuy) ;

Régine Godefroy : Minister of Communication (replaces Ady Jean Gardy) ;

Magalie Racine : Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (replaces Jean Roosevelt René) ;

Jean François Thomas : Minister of the Environment (replaces Jean Vilmond Hilaire) ;

Bernice FideliaI : Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (replaces Daniel Supplice) ;

The Prime Minister reiterated his desire to have a dynamic team, bearer of results, first working for the good of the Haitian people, with dignity, pride and in strict compliance of management standards in the public administration and the Republican principles, calling the new Ministers to become models and examples for youth.

The Head of Government has also congratulated to have been able to reach a percentage of 47% of women in the new government [of which 45.4% women Ministers], a quota that exceeds that required by the Haitian Constitution (30%).
