Haiti - Politic : Some Senators call justice to act against the former Minister Fidélia
Following the resignation of Bernice Fidélia, the former Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MAHVE), whose the official reasons remain unknown for now in the absence of the publication of her letter of resignation), several senators see in this departure, the confirmation of the allegations of Senator John Joel Joseph, who stated during the convocation of the Prime Minister in the Senate (June 4) that Mrs. Fidélia was a U.S. citizen.

For Senator Jean-Baptiste Bien-Aimé, there is no doubt that the Minister was American and calls on the judicial authorities to take the necessary action against the former minister. Moreover, he points out that if to obtain this position, she eluded the vigilance of the Head of State and of the Prime Minister, she must be prosecuted for forgery and use of forgery. By cons, he believes that if the Head of State and the Prime Minister was aware of the nationalities, they should be considered accomplices and brought before the high courts for removal...

Senator Steven Benoît abounds in the same direction as his colleague, calling Me Lucman Délille, the Government Commissioner, to ensure impartiality, honesty and courage by putting the public action in motion against Mrs. Fidelia and regrets that the letter of the former Minister, explaining the reasons of her resignation has not yet been forwarded to Parliament.

On the other hand, Senator Benoit asked the Prime Minister to submit to Parliament, the records of all the Ministers in order to investigate on their nationality... Lamenting the obvious unwillingness of the Government to submit to the control.

Note that the former Minister Bernice Fidélia is replaced (acting) in MHAVE, by Pierre Richard Casimir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
