Léon Charles [member of the Primature] as a citizen, in an open letter denounces the false allegations contained in the report of the Senate Inquiry Commission about the circumstances surrounding the death of Investigating judge Jean Serge Joseph, which refers to an alleged telephone conversation he would have had, conversation that never existed.

"The citizen Léon Charles, stresses to the attention of the general public and the Senate Committee investigating the circumstances of the tragic death of Judge Jean Serge Joseph in particular, that he is shocked to find that his name was mentioned in the report of that Committee (page 6 and 28), thus making reference to an alleged telephone conversation that he would ease between the Prime Minister and the named Enold Florestal.

These false allegations made in paragraph 15 of the report according to which he would have used his cell, Wednesday, July 10, 2013, to allow this imaginary telephone conversation bordering the derision and are unfounded. This information fabricated belong to a macabre strategy to tarnish his image and that of Prime Minister HE Mr. Laurent Salvador Lamothe and have for sole purpose the excessive manipulation of public opinion for political purposes.

It is obvious that these defamatory and slanderous testimonies were deliberately transmitted to the honorable Senators of the Republic, with the intent to mislead them, to influence the outcome of the investigation and undermine the honor and consideration of the Prime Minister, his Excellency Mr. Laurent Salvador Lamothe.

The citizen Léon Charles says loud and clear that 'this conversation never took place. Never !' He challenge anyone to prove otherwise. He, however, reserves the right to bring an action in justice before the proper authorities."
