Following the publication of the Report of the Special Senate Committee, responsible for investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Judge Jean Serge Joseph, which recommends inter alia that "The Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice are charged and removed of their function" and to "Impeach the Head of State the crime of high treason," Me Jean Renel Sanon, he Minister of Justice, vigorously denying the allegations in the report, which he describes as a "tissue of lies."

Moreover Senator Hyppolite Mélius, near the Executive power, doubts the possibility of impeachment of the President Martelly, as recommended by the Senate Inquiry Commission, given that the Executive has a majority in the Lower House with the Bloc "Member for Stability and Progress" (PSP).
