Haiti - Education : 109 scholars will leave for Mexico
Following the agreement signed on 26 November 2012 in Port-au-Prince between Pierre Richard Casimir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador of Mexico, Luis Manuel Lopez Moreno, aimed at the granting of 300 Postgraduate Scholarships, offered by Mexico, the Ministry of Education released the results of the admission contest, which took place on June 21 for the scholarships of the first tranche of grants in 2013.

159 candidates from ten departments of Haiti, students of baccalaureate second part, among the top 30 laureates in their respective academic department, have participated in this contest. 109 candidates who obtained at least 80% average, will receive a scholarship and leave the country on August 19, to begin their higher and technical education in various disciplines.

Before leaving for Mexico, the lucky recipients of these scholarships were received at the National Palace during a presentation ceremony at the President Michel Martelly, who took the opportunity to reiterate his "Faith in Education" in the presence of Pierre-Richard Casimir and of Mexican Ambassador Luis Manuel Lopez Moreno.
