Haiti - Security : Recruitment of 1,000 new police officers 23/08/2013 11:48:18
The Inspector of Police, Emmanuel Corvil, Chief of service of staff to the National Police Academy announced that in accordance with the guidelines for recruitment, which came into force in 1999, under the 2013-2014 academic year, the Haitian government will recruit 1,000 new police officers as planned in the National Development Plan of Police (2012-2016), which provides up to 2016, the recruitment of 1,000 new police officers a year. "This means that any aspiring police officer, regardless of gender, may submit an application in one of the 16 commissariats distributed throughout the country, namely in one of the six offices of the Metropolitan Region: the Departmental Directorate of West (DDO), the Commissariats of Port-au-Prince, Carrefour, Petionville, Delmas and Croix-des-Bouquets and all departmental directorates of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) in 9 chief towns departmental, except the Department o Northwest where there are two offices, one in Port-de-Paix and the other in Mole Saint-Nicolas. As enrollment, entrance exam will take place in the departmental offices of the PNH. The tests focus on general knowledge, history, geography, writing and mathematics. All tests are identical regardless of the education level of applicants. Selection criteria for applicants :
