Haiti - Politic : The PSP denounces the approach of some parliamentarians
In a public letter, bearing the signatures of the deputy Marie Denise Bernadeau (Secretary of the PSP), of Deputy Abel Descollines (Spokesperson of PSP) and of Deputy Stevenson (President of PSP) the majority bloc "Parliamentarians for Stability and Progress" (PSP), denounced the initiative of a group of parliamentarians with the President Barack Obama against Pamela White, Ambassador of the United States accredited to Haiti https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-9259-haiti-tourism-prime-minister-in-ile-a-vache-for-a-supervision-visit.html

Letter of PSP :
"The block of Parliamentarians for Stability and Progress (PSP) denounces the fantasy position and cavalier of a group of parliamentary colleagues who, by their stubbornness to disturb the republican order and to destabilize the country, engaged in maneuvers unworthy of statesmen, first by their attempt to pass a law in secretly in the Lower House, in flagrant violation of the bylaws. Then, by their last letter dated August 23, 2013, addressed to U.S. President Barack Obama, which constitutes a slap in the relations of friendship and cooperation characterizing the two countries, by trampling the most basic rules of parliamentary diplomacy.

The Parliamentary block for Stability and Progress (PSP) finds unacceptable that a handful of deputies not representing the expression of the majority in the House, want to dictate their law to the majority, thus violating the basic principles of democracy. So far, the positions of Ambassador White in Haiti are correct insofar as they align with those of the Haitian people who aspire to the promises of change made by the executive, whose the Majority bloc in the Lower House (PSP) takes great care on their implementation.

The PSP welcomes the contribution of Mrs. White in the reconstruction of the country and its advocacy for the promotion of investment and job creation in Haiti.

Consequently, the block for Stability and Progress (PSP) encourages Pamela White to continue to work for Haiti.

In addition, the PSP launches a solemn appeal to all sectors of national life, in order to take the path of dialogue in the perspective of enable the country to emerge from the yoke of underdevelopment and to recover its economic and political sovereignty, essential for the national reconstruction effort."
