Haiti - Elections : "Delirious" speech of Senator Joseph Lambert 01/12/2010 16:46:32
The press briefing of today, aims to denounce the demagoguery of lies and threats of a range of presidential candidates, who have concocted an indigestible coalition of opposites, in order to demand the annulment of the elections at the detrimental to, voters, legislative candidates, political parties, national partners and international financial, that have made huge sacrifices for the achievement of these popular consultations of November 28, 2010. Under the pretext of disorder created by themselves, and irregularity maliciously invented or inflated, and unfairly put in the account of our group, identified as the common enemy, they engaged in a despicable manipulation of public opinion. Providing for their defeat in the battle of the vote, they orchestrated a daring political move as a electoral coup by throwing in the streets blind masses (the population) in defiance of law and democratic rules. But their efforts against truth, against common sense and against the democracy and doomed to failure. We are not surprised by the disappointment of the imprudents and naives, nor the unparalleled effrontery of the principal instigator of this deviant movement, which in the illusion of an advantageous position at the counting, made a dramatic shift, of which besides he does not have the monopoly in dissociating themselves from such policies too credulous which he had trapped and ridiculed in a carnival parade, walking with his posters and shouting his victory. Faced with such situation the platform INITE call these candidates, handled, to regroup and return to the path of democratic legality, the only royal road to the alternation that can be achieved through elections. At the same time it [INITE] invites its supporters to remain calm, not respond to provocation, despite threats and attacks they suffer from this new form of GNB, who only dreams to stop walk towards the progress of the attentive majorities, the platform ask them to remain calm, remain vigilant to these watchwords and wait for the Provisional Electoral Council, CEP, the only body responsible for finalizing the electoral process and announce the results."
