Haiti - Elections : The Report of the JEOM in the hands of Preval 29/04/2011 13:54:14 "We handed the report this morning to Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive, which will deliver it to the Provisional Electoral Council", declared Thursday Colin Granderson, head of the mission, while refusing to reveal the contents of the report. "It will be the role of the Haitian authorities to speak about it"... On condition of anonymity, a diplomatic source revealed to AFP that the report of the JEOM suggested to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) to annul the election for the 19 candidates suspected of having benefited from electoral fraud mainly for the benefit of the platform INITE, and to adhere to the preliminary results for these 19 constituencies [HL - this information is not confirmed officaly and all the reserves are to be taken on the supposed conclusions contained in this report]. According to a parliamentary source [again with all reserve], the CEP which has not yet received this report, would not be inclined to follow the conclusions of the report of the JEOM and would wish to stick to the decisions which it made between the diffusion of the preliminary results and final, favorable to INITE.
