Haiti - Elections : Answer of CEP to Michel Martelly 25/04/2011 09:11:05 This is thus decisions of justice rendered by electoral courts legally competent, those rendered by the BCEN are not subject to appeal in accordance to article 191 of the Electoral Law. By wisdom, in the interests of transparency and in the best interests of the nation, the CEP decided to publish, in place of the list of April 20, a partial list for the legislative that does not include the names of 19 parliamentarians mentioned in the note of the president elected, while waiting to receive in consultation on the judgment relating these last ones all national and international organizations. The CEP reminds to the general public, candidates and their advocates, organizations of human rights, civil society, the press, that the decisions are shown in the annex of CEP in Delmas since April 21, 2011. It is understood that these consultations will take place in the respect of the total independence of the jurisdictions of judgment which ruled on these cases." Article 191 of the Electoral Law The decisions of the National Electoral Complaints and Challenges Bureau (BCEN), are final and are subject to appeal. These decisions must be displayed after the deliberation of BCEN.
