Over 80% of people have no symptoms Based on the latest information from the scientific community: between 80% and 85% of those who contract Covid-19 have no symptoms, or some very mild and often mistaken for other viral infections. Between 15% and 17% of infected people would need medical assistance, whether it be a drug treatment or a short assistance linked to respiratory problems and between 3% and 5% would need a hospitalization to face the symptoms caused by Covid-19 in combination with other comorbidity factors. SYMPTOMS Common symptoms of Covid-19 coronavirus: cough, fever and extreme fatigue. Some people may also have more severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing or pneumonia. On average, symptoms of COVID-19 usually develop 5 to 7 days after infection. In some infrequent cases, they may appear only on the 12th day.
