Within the framework of demolition work (Phase I), for the construction of the future Administrative city at the bottom Downtown of Port-au-Prince and the expropriation and financial compensation for those affected by the decree of 29 May 2012, declaring nearly 30 hectares, as area of public utility, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11287-haiti-reconstruction-the-demolition-of-the-area-of-public-utility-began-in-port-au-prince.html Engineer Eric Pierre Jasmin, Executive Secretary of the Standing Committee of Acquisition informed :

"The Standing Committee of Acquisition, inform the public, in general, owners and occupiers affected by the expropriation amicably on the bottom of Downtown, in particular, that a complaints office will be open to from Tuesday, June 17, 2014, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, to collect from the expropriated residents the copies of documents, titles, deeds not yet filed with the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI).

This office, which is located in front of the premises of the DGI on Avenue Christophe, should also take into account the views and concerns of all the expropriated who have not yet received their indemnities or compensations.

The Committee relies on the participation and understanding of all for the full success of the expropriation process."
