Air Transat, Canada's largest air carrier specializing in holiday travel, announces the commercialization of its scheduled flights between Canada and Haiti, and also etween Haiti and Canada, on the reservation systems GDS (Global Distribution System), of electronic platforms of reservation management that allow travel agents to know the state of the stock of the various ourism suppliers (airlines, hotel chain, car rental company, tour operators...) and book remotely.

This announcement demonstrates of the growth of the Haitian tourism industry that benefits from the development strategies developed by the Ministry of Tourism of Haiti and the collaboration of partners of choice as Transat and AirTransat.

Note that since January 2013, Transat is actively involved in the revival of tourism in Haiti. In partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and several local companies, the tour operator has created several vacation packages ranges, which allow to stimulate tourism development in the country and to makes "live the Haiti experience" to its customers. Let's recall that Air Transat that provides weekly service between Montreal and Port-au-Prince for over 15 years, was designated scheduled airline in Haiti since April 2014.
