Haiti - Petit-Goâve : Students of EFACAP deprived of classes for almost 2 months

The crisis persists at the Fundamental School of Application and Pedagogical Support Center (EFACAP) of Petit-Goâve, the teachers of the third cycle (7th Year Fundamental, 8th AF, 9th AF) continue their strike since 19 February 2018 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23671-haiti-education-schools-and-high-schools-paralyzed-in-petit-goave.html continuing to demand payment of their salary arrears and letter of appointment.

If the crisis of the Lycée Faustin Soulouque is about to be solved https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24064-haiti-news-zapping.html nothing seems to be moving at EFACAP. Graduate teachers are present on the school yard but do not work. This situation penalizes students for almost 2 months and may lead to the failure of 9eAF students who will participate in official exams on June https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24035-haiti-education-34-sanctioned-schools-will-no-longer-work.html Sometimes, some teachers dispense sporadically "by compassion", some courses...

Note that the teachers of 3rd cycle are budgeted but they are demanding salary arrears.

The schoolyard is a vast promenade and playground. When the students of the 3rd cycle do not walk on the court, they play football, which disrupts the operation of the other two cycles (2nd and 3rd) whose teachers are at work...

Parents worried about the future of their children deprived of classes for nearly two months, urges the West Departmental Directorate to resolve the crisis without delay within EFACAP.
