Haiti - DR : Hundreds of Haitians arrested in Santiago and deported

Following a location intelligence job of foreigners in the communities, the Directorate General of Migration (DGM) conducted a large interception operation in various areas of Santiago (Los Guandules, Cañada del Diablo, Tiger Amansa, Multis of Beijing, Barrio Lindo, La Ceibita, Camboya , Hoya del Caimito, Pedro Don, Licey al Medio, Gurabo, Los Perez, Tamboril, Cerro Alto, Cruce among others) during which 630 "foreigners" mostly Haitian were controlled...
Applying the same strategy as during the massive migration control operations of April 19th https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24152-haiti-dr-vast-operation-of-migratory-control-700-haitians-arrested-in-one-day.html in Greater Santo Domingo and the National District, which saw the deportation of nearly 700 of our compatriots in one day, the DGM deployed in several teams, more than a hundred people, inspectors and agents of migration with the support of the military and representatives of the Public Prosecutor's Office, to conduct several operations simultaneously and thus avoid "foreigners" being able to prevent and escape.
After the verification process, using biometric readers, 279 Haitians in an irregular migration situation were transferred to the border posts of Dajabón and Elías Piña to be repatriated to Haiti. In addition, 3 Haitians and 4 Venezuelans were transferred to the Investigations Department of the DGM.
