Haiti - FLASH : Heavy balance of riots 25/07/2018 08:23:31

The National Police of Haiti (PNH) deplores the death of two of its agents. The PNH reports the destruction of 4 of its vehicles At least 80 private enterprises and State institutions were looted and/or burned during the riots. including 30 private companies, out of a mall. In addition, 11 companies had broken windows and 3 suffered fire attempts. The PNH reports significant damage to 4 sub-police stations. At least 12 companies (2 in Delmas, 8 in Pétion-ville, 1 in downtown and 1 on the road to the airport) were looted. 8 shopping centers, bringing together more than 50 shops were damaged during the violent events of July 6, 7 and 8. In addition, Me Clamé Ocnam Daméus, the Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Port-au-Prince confirms that more than 100 people have been arrested, accused among others of looting and arson during these 3 days of riots.
