Haiti - Environment : Inauguration of the 3rd Plant Propagation Center

Saturday, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by Pierre Simon Georges the resigning Minister of the Environment, in the presence among others of the Grand'Anse Senator, Jean Rigaud Belizaire, Deputy of Corail, Rolphe Papillon, Members of the Communal Council of Marfranc, of Joubert C. After Camp-Perrin and Fonds-des-Nègres, this 3rd Center launched in October 2017 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22274-haiti-agriculture-third-plant-propagation-center.html will allow with the 2 previous to produce in 2 years 13.5 million seedlings / year, at the rate of 4.5 million per Center.
The Marfranc Center includes several shadehouses, an administrative building, a sprouter, a composting and fertilizer preparation center and a warehouse for tools and intrans. It also has a research unit, a residence for executives and trainees, sanitary blocks, a plant for transplanting and planting cuttings and a seed production center.

Recall that President Moïse promised to build 14 of these Centers in Haiti during his tenure. Centers that are funded as part of international cooperation with friendly countries of Haiti.
