Marie Margareth Fortune, Director General of the Haitian State Lottery (LEH) condemns with the utmost rigor the arrest last weekend of 17 sellers of Borlette in the commune of Carrefour operated arbitrarily at the instigation of the National Association of Tenants of Borlette (ANTB) for unjustifiable reasons.

Informed of the situation, the Coordinator of the LEH of the commune of Carrefour accompanied by the judge of Peace of this jurisdiction, on behalf of the LEH, intervened to demand the immediate release of these sellers.

Following the hearing, the titular judge ruled in favor of the Haitian State Lottery and gave full rights to the LEH to play its role of regulator of games of chance in Haiti, according to the law.

On the other hand, the Justice of the Peace, in the presence of the members of the ANTB declared "From now on, these salesmen must formally avoid working under the aegis of this Association which could not in any case replace the LEH."
