Haiti - FLASH : The Haitian boxer Adonis Superman at the hospital in critical condition (UPDATE)
The fight started well for Steveson, who managed several attacks but failed to shake his opponent in the first half of the fight. From the 7th round the pace accelerated and the blows of Gvozdyk more often affected Adonis.
In the 10th round a blow from Adonis shook Gvozdyk who had to restrain himself to the ropes cables not to fall before facing again.
Unfortunately the last two minutes of the 11th round ended the reign of World Champion Adonis Superman, when the Ukrainian of a first right rang Adonis who froze by the blow ended up falling before getting up. Then Gvozdyk, following a beautiful combination sent Stevenson to the carpet with a powerful right.
KO, Stevenson took several minutes to get up and go back with difficulty and helped in the locker room. After his shower, Stevenson still looked, his eyes empty when he was dizzy. Helped by his team he was put on a stretcher and then rushed to the hospital.
"I talked to the people at the hospital. He was confused when he arrived. We fear a concussion. This is very disturbing," said Promoter Yvon Michel, who added that Stevenson was preparing to undergo further examinations.
