Tuesday's publication of the decree appointing the members of the future ministerial cabinet of the Prime Minister named Fritz William Michel https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28324-haiti-flash-members-of-the-government-moise-michel-official.html has started provoking various reactions from both the opposition and supporters or others who prefer to wait before expressing their positions...

While some parliamentarians are in favor of giving their vote of confidence to the new Prime Minister and his cabinet, other elected representatives of the opposition, do not hesitate to call this cabinet of provocative and prepare to prevent by all means the process of ratification.

Opponents :

Edmonde Supplice Beauzile, President of the party "Fusion of the Haitian Social Democrats" (FUSION) says that nothing should be expected of this new cabinet and demands the resignation of the Head of State that she considers as the major obstacle to the resolution of the crisis.

The parliamentarian of the radical opposition Printemps Belizaire (Famni Lavalas), qualifies this cabinet of "provocation" stating that most of the ministers are from the PHTK the party in power or parties allied with the PHTK...

Youri Latortue passed in the camp of the opposition, qualifies this Government of "de facto" since named by a President who according to him, lost any legitimacy...

The 4 Senators of the Opposition in the Senate: Evalière Beauplan (PONT); Antonio Cheramy aka "Don Kato" (VERITE), Ricard Pierre (Piti Dessalin) and Nenel Cassy (Famni Lavalas) who blocked the process of ratification of the former Prime Minister, who has resigned Jean Michel Lapin, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27871-haiti-flash-ransacking-of-the-senate-national-and-international-reactions.html disapprove of the formation of the Michel Government. In a letter dated July 25, addressed to the President of the Senate Carl Murat they denounce and strongly condemn this approach "we learned with amazement that without prior consultation of the different tendencies in the Senate, you have with Mr. Jovenel Moïse and the President of the Chamber of Deputies decided to choose a new Prime Minister [...] It is incomprehensible that instead of addressing with the other forces forces of the Nation his claims, you have indulged during these machinations, a sharing of powers that Obviously, is not in the interest of the people... We take the opportunity to reiterate to the people our commitment to always fight alongside them, in their demands, in order to put an end to the system in place and to put in place a new person to formulate another project of society."

For Deputies of Mirebalais, Abel Descollines (LAVNI Lavalas trend) and Deputies Joseph Manes Louis (LAVALAS) no general policy ratification session will be held until the President has been indicted, a position shared by the group of 21 deputies of the opposition.

Supporters :

Senator Jean Rigaud Bélizaire (Consortium), an ally of the PHTK, has welcomed the appointment of the Prime Minister and is open to a vote to ratify the General Policy of PM.

The North Senator, Dieudonne Luma Etienne (PHTK), welcomes the formation of this new ministerial cabinet that has chosen the gender parity (50/50) and is favorable to the ratification of the Prime Minister and his team.

Unsure :

Senator Pierre François Sildor (PHTK) says he is waiting for the general policy statement to know in which way he will vote.
